27.08.2019 We recently attended a 2 day workshop at The Marion on NicolOur lunches were seated in the Ambiance restaurant. The menu was the Chefs pick, so Day 1 we got an option of 3 starters or 3 Mains. I chose the Salmon salad and the Beef Fillet, or there was a Green Salad or Carpaccio, along with deboned Chicken or Salmon. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. It just needed some seasoning on the fillet. On day 2, this time the Chefs choice was mains and dessert. The options were Oxtail, Duck and cant remember the 3rd option. Dessert was either Malva Pudding or Creme Bruleé. I had to try the Duck, and then the Creme Bruleé. The duck was nice but it needed to be cleaned properly, and I found the creme brulee to be a bit too thick in consistency.Everyone else enjoyed their meals, we just found the service to be really slow considering we were the only ones there and on a tight schedule with our workshop.#TheFoodMusketeer#TheFoodMusketeerEats#TFMAmbiance
The service could be more attentive, but the staff were still lovely and accommodating. The vegetarian options were altered to make vegan, which was much appreciated. The risotto was really delicious.
Was here on conference, food was delish and fresh in comparison to typical conference fare. Their pastries are especially good. The restaurant itself overlooks gorgeous gardens, but is rather minimal and sparse.
Lovely Restuarant in the hotel called Am Biance, reminded me a lot of the one at 54 on Bath. Had the braised oxtail simmered in a red wine reduction. So soft and literally fell off the bone! Their side veg of sweet potato and butternut mix; steamed broccoli, cauliflower and mixed peppers went down super well! I did feel the food took longer than anticipated but overall experience was phenomenal! Great service from our waiters too!
