When I order pizza, I do love ordering a calzone pizza.I regularly want to try different restaurants, to find the best calzone pizza maker out there.But Andiccio wasn’t that restaurant. Yes, it looks big, but there’s barely any filling and the base is super thin. It was kinda like eating a flat, rolled slice of white bread with a bit of melted mozzarella cheese on top.Was a bit disappointed and left hungry.

I had Andiccio’s pizza about 2 years ago and last week. In both cases a complete disappointment. It is a well known franchise so I gave it a second chance but alas. The thin bases are nice but that is where it ends. It just does not taste good – even a microwave pizza is better. Maybe I just got it wrong with the 3 pizzas I tried but from a personal opinion I cannot recommend them.
We ordered take away pizzas from the website. It was so easy, efficient and really awesome to be able to select your choice of pizza base and the exact toppings you want from a range of bases and ingredients the scope of which I have never seen before. There were so many banting bases to choose from! I was in heaven.Delivery took about 45 minutes but it was worth the wait. It’s a little pricey, averaging around R130 per pizza, but again the pure ease of the whole process made it worth it.
