Not to be confused with Possums, the restaurant. Â This is more a bar-feel towards the place, more noisy, and they serve pub food (fish and chips, hamburgers etc.). Â I like quieter places where I can sit down and enjoy a proper menu, so I will recommend that you rather go to the Possums next door.
Last week Thursday we went to the deck @ possums. As we say we were served some cold front water, this was refreshing especially in this weather. We opted to have the tapas menu instead of the bistro menu. We chose the squid heads, the lamb skewers, a Greek salad and the mozzarella stuffed jalapeño. Everything was absolutely delicious. This was all enjoyed with a great bottle of white wine. As the night became more chilly moved down to the fire pits they have going which was wonderful.I would definitely recommend the deck @ possums for Sunday afternoon drinks with friends or someone special. Will definitely be back.
We thought we would try Possums out for a Sunday Lunch. We hadn’t made a booking. We were discarded by the hostess on arrival. But went up to the bar and were made to feel extremely welcome by Sipho. Excellent Service! Great Food! We wiil be back.
Great setting. Love the new outside seating area. Oysters for starters were superb but the main course was terrible. We sent half of it back as it was difficult to eat. Pity. Really good opportunity for a nice outdoor setting let down by poor food.
