The. Food. Was. Excellent. That’s it.This place is very very intimate, seriously it’s like going to someone’s house and that someone happens to have a chef in the kitchen. If you want an after dinner vibe with drinks, this isn’t the place. But if you’d like an intimate & Cosy dinner with some great food and excellent service – then it’s your spot. They have a set 3 course menu ( or did when we went). When you get there you get a little something from the chef to wet your appetite, which is nice. The menu looks as though it changes but generally we had a choice of about 2/3 dishes for each course.Would definitely recommend this place at least once, shake up a date night and yes, expect to break the entire bank but in a no regrets sort of way.
I came here to celebrate getting a new job and I loved it! Absolutely worth it for a special treat. Just note that the food is pretty pricey. It’s a set 4-course menu with about 2 options per course. Two things stand out:- the service is above and beyond. Super friendly, professional staff. They checked on me at the right time, noted that I was celebrating something special and added “congratulations” to my desert plate – very cool. I also didn’t enjoy the taste of my main – the maître d’ noticed and offering to replace it at no cost. Completely unexpected and above the bar. – the food is well presented and delicious. I had a calamari starter with pressed apple and olive oil squares. Divine. I had baked cod for mains – light, flavourful but filling. The desert was delicious – apple crumble with lovely pink meringues and chocolate shavings
We found this little slice of heaven during Restaurant Week. From the time you’re greeted at the door to the time you leave to go home, you are treated like a treasured guest. The service is excellent and warm, everyone has a smile for you. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. It’s a perfect place to celebrate an occasion or a romantic evening out. The decor is elegant and classy, with seating being very comfortable, allowing you to relax while dining. As we were there for Restaurant Week, the menu was set. The vegetarian options were well thought out and substantial. Everything worked – from the plating and presentation to the flavour combinations of each dish. Our highlight was the ‘Eton Mess’ dessert served in a delicate glass bowl. Sublime! This is definitely a place we will be coming back to!
