Authentic Korean food, freshly prepared, be prepared to wait however as it does take sometime time. If you want the grilled salmon head suggest you order in advance. Decor is very simple and functional and feels like a simple canteen with the plastic chairs. Frequented by a lot of Korean folks, so it must be good 🙂
Really nice and interesting food. Ordering the main includes, two teas, a variety of starters and a non alcoholic drink. We also had a complimentary omelette. The interior is sparse, what I imagine a Korean kitchen would be like. The owner is very friendly and helpful in guiding you through the menu and service was prompt
The owner is one of the sweetest ladies and always remembers me when I visit, even after 6 months. The food is well seasoned and loads of banchan is brought, its almost like I’m in Korea. Definitely the best Korean restaurant that I’ve been to in South Africa. Go with a big group and then you can taste a wide variety of food.
The food here was quite average in comparison to other Korean restaurants on Gauteng. I was especially disappointed as it is listed as opening at 10:30 both on Zomato and on their door but upon arrival at 10:40, I was told they only opened at 11:00. When you have limited time, those minutes count. The snacks/banchan was good except for anything fried. You could taste they had been fried several days ago and tasted old. Everything else that I ordered was quite tasty but worrisome as it only took about 5 minutes for everything to be ready. Will try again and hopefully things have improved.
The food is great. We have order the vegetable pancake and Kimchi pancake as well as the Gimbap. The owner and staff are very friendly. The restaurant is very homey (minimal deco). They have offered free iced coffee and fruit to go with the meal. Certainly coming again.
