Dinos is a neighbourhood trattoria in Lonehill owned and run by Manfred and Lillo since 2002. The menu is composed of a comprehensive Italian offering which includes pastas, salads, pizzas, seafood and meat dishes. Service:We received quick, friendly service with a smile from Paulina. It was a pleasure having her serve our table. Interiors: Homely, clean and what one would expect from a local neighbourhood trattoria in Lonehill.Food:To start, we chose to share:Mussels in a garlic cream and white wine sauce &Black mushrooms, spinach, bacon, baked with Mozzarella cheeseWith regards to both starters, there wasn’t anything special to write home about, but the portion size was decent and they arrived quickly. For mains, we chose to share: Canneloni with Bolognaise sauce, baked with Mozzarella&Oxtail braised in red wine served on a bed of mash.Dish of the day: The oxtail, served (in a portion of four) in a potjie pot and cooked to perfection. The sauce accompanying it was both flavorsome and perfectly complimented the oxtail and mash combination! This is the ultimate cold weather indulgence paired with a big glass of red wine! I have yet to try their pizza, but I have noticed that on Mondays, any ‘classic’ pizza at Dino’s is half the price so may still return for it.*Recommendation: I would recommend Dino’s as a neighbourhood local worth stopping at for a casual, well-priced meal when in the area. For more, find me on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter: LaurasWorldza
Terrible attitude from the reception guy who answers the phone, Fredrick if I’m not mistaken. Charged extra for chillies and parmesan cheese when its a takeaway order. Terrible service and oily lasagne! Never order from here again!
This is a very nice ambient restaurant, food usually very good, but after several years the prices just keep going up and up, wine list also way to high, so won’t go again unfortunately.
We sat down for a quick bite. Ordered kingklip and baked pasta. Pasta was excellent. Kingklip was OFF and I had to spit it out. Then ordered rosy jobfish which was very average. Service was terrible. The bill came to R355 so we added a R40 tip and wrote R395 as the total. In the car on the way home we received an sms to say they charged us R400. It was only R5 more but it is a crooked practice. It was the waitress who did it like a scam. I’m not even sure the owner knows about it. This really caused me to lower my rating. Totally unethical. Jessica Notelo Steve Notelovitz
Very nice little family restaurant. Good pizza, bases are a bit thicker than I prefer, but they are still very nice. The staff and management are very attentive and helpful though so it’s a great night when you go
