I have been to La Trinita 3 times and each time has been better than the last. I actually dream about the food. Simple, Italian food – fresh ingredients, uncomplicated and breathtakingly delicious. If you like lots of ingredients and complicated food – this place is not for you. If you enjoy simple, delicious food with simple ingredients like just pasta and sauce – this is the place for you. I highly recommend the gnocchi dolce latte (for cheese lovers) and melanzane. Chicken livers are also good. Lala, the owner and chef, takes the time to chat about the meals and will alter to your preference. Definitely a place to “try before you die”! Time for another visit.
A Meetup brought me to the highly acclaimed Ristorante La Trinita run by an Italian Family.We received a very warm welcome from Lala and the atmosphere was indeed one of a Family restaurant. The personal touch was evident in the decor making one feel at home.We ordered the Margareita as a starter to share that did not disappoint. The Mains ordered consisted of Gnocchi which was a tad bland. The Chicken Parmigiana was selected from the specials which were told to us verbally. Unfortunately, it was definitely not worth the price.Overall, I would rate the restaurant as average based on the value for money received. The restaurant isn’t located in a upmarket centre. Hence, it is arguably difficult to accept the high prices for simple meals.
Amazing food!
This place is a 10/5. No need to look at the menu, let lala decide your meal. I am speechless about this place. In all honesty a friend has been telling me for ages to go there, but looking at the restaurant I always declined, oh how I regret not going there sooner. The food is insanely good, great service, great wine selection. Very well managed place. Dessert is amazing. My new go to place. Well done Lala
It’s a decent place but the menu lacks alot. Thank goodness for the specials. I was expecting more based on the rating.
