I was so excited to find a La Cremosa in jhb after stumbling upon it in Dbn. Tasty ice cream, tons of flavors.
This little gem is absolutely amazing. I am yet to taste a flavor of ice cream which I don’t like. My favorite flavor is Rice and Cinnamon. They just have the most unusual flavors. Coconut and fig, Naartjie to name a few. The best ice cream in Johannesburg.
Prices are ridiculous & portions are tiny. Doesn’t taste anywhere close to as good as Paul’s Homemade or even Woolies ice cream for that matter.
I love the ice cream here! Not too creamy and just sweet enough with very authentic and real tasting flavors. Not at all artificial tasting. I had the best pistachio ice cream here that I’ve ever had in my life with real pieces of pistachio. The chocolate was incredible and rich, not too dark and not too milky, it was just perfect. The second time I went I had the rice and cinnamon flavor in a gelato sandwich, which was a scoop in between two chocolate biscuits. They only had the option of a chocolate biscuit. The biscuits were rather disappointing- they didn’t have that homemade buttery flavor you search for in a cookie and tasted a little like plastic. But overall, if you stick to the ice cream, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
