This is some of the BEST sushi in Johannesburg! I have been coming to Hao Ke Lai for many many years and have never been disappointed. Recently I have been going even more regularly, especially for their salmon roses! The fish is always super fresh. The portion sizes are really good too. Unlike many other restaurants, the sushi here is affordable and it is definitely good value for money! It is not extremely cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for! Although I have never tried their Chinese meals personally, my family eats here sometimes and they often rave about the quality of the food. All sushi lovers – go here! I’ve had most sushi items on the menu.My favourites are the ocean fairy, Tokyo house and salmon roses.Best sushi in Johannesburg and the most affordable! Try the combos if you’re having a party or just some sushi for one if you want but just try it.
I must say, I’m kinda very picky when it comes to ordering sushi from a restaurant that I haven’t visited yet.But wow, my expectations were exceeded.The pricing is correct for the type of sushi, some restaurants can really overcharge a person. The sushi is the right amount of fish and rice. (Usually sushi restaurants use a lot of rice and very little fish)I’m very satisfied with my order, and I’ll definitely order from them again.
