We found Trading Post on Zomato while in the Magaliesburg area so we thought we would give it a try. The service was really good. Our waiter made us feel welcome and he was very friendly. We were however the only patrons at the restaurant through our time there. It appears that the restaurant focuses more on breakfast and sandwiches as we chose two lunch meals which were far from satisfactory. I ordered the chicken dish. I was given two tiny pieces of chicken on a massive bed of white rice and vegetables which looked and tasted that they were cooked from frozen. My partner ordered a pie which had tiny little pieces of meat in it. Although the service was great, we will not be going back.

My wife and I had a truly enjoyable meal here. We had delicious coffees, my pancakes were made perfectly and accompanied by large servings of ice-cream and my wife’s scones were made fresh to order and included homemade naartjie, paw paw and strawberry jams, cheese and cream. Service was excellent, ambiance was relaxed and prices good too.
Awesome place if you are not in a hurry. This is the spot for a relaxing holiday fresh and fun meal with family. Definitely recommended. We were a company of 6, 4 adults 2 children. Nice sandpit for the younger kids, cool and relaxed atmosphere.
I visited Trading Post with my family and our son enjoyed the toys corner. They also have a jungle gym, swings and a sandpit.They have an large menu selection with interesting items like melkkos and coffee with condenced milk.I was exciting to see the scones are freshly baked and therefore takes 20min. However it is nothing special and definately not worth ordering. Rather dissapointing.I ordered the Ice Cream Coffee which is an affogato. I somehow expected a coffee milkshake, but I obviously misread the menu.
