Beautiful views and awesome being so close to the giraffes but the service was pretty terrible. Took very long to get our drinks and food and when the food came it was wrong and we were charged for extra cheese which was the waiters mistake for not putting it on in the first place. But everyone enjoyed their food luckily.
Food is average. The only reason I continue com I g here to eat is for the kids to see the giraffes. Very simple and basic food. But the views are spectacular
Neck & Deck Cafe is an honest restaurant that serves good fresh food. There are a few restaurants in the Rhino and Lion park but we chose to have lunch here because of the viewing deck. Our waiter, Spice, was very friendly and took care of us. The cafe serves simple wholesome food, nothing pretentious, it’s clean and has a laid back feel. We ordered the beef cheese burger with potato wedges and the chicken fillet which came with fresh avocado, side salad with danish feta and penne with a light tomato sauce. The burger was great especially the potato wedges. They were crispy on the outside and buttery soft on the inside. The chicken fillet was tender and well seasoned. The salad was very fresh and the pasta was not over cooked. We were very happy and surprised at the quality of the food at this cafe!
Nice place and the ever friendly manager Bernard makes the place have a warm home ambience. If it’s busy the food takes long to be prepared so be aware, otherwise it’s a well managed place.
