We had a delicious buffet lunch at the Tumulus Restaurant, followed by a wide selection of desserts. The restaurant is quite popular and is famous for its Sunday carvery lunches, and great views of Gauteng . Vegetarians are also well -catered for. It was a great place to unwind and that’s exactly what we did.
The service I received while trying to make a booking was so disgusting that I didn’t even go there they ask you to email them and then don’t even respond to your emails.
We had the famous Sunday buffet at Tumulus. The restaurant is nice a big and has a airy and uncluttered feel to it, even thought they have lots and lots of table. Booking is required for the Sunday buffet. They don’t offer a huge variety of food on the buffet but what is there is very nice and enjoyable. They offer a started, main and dessert. Tea and coffee is also included. It is all you can eat self service so the waiters don’t hover about too much. Our drinks arrived quickly and our waiter was polite and friendly.
We arrived to a friendly greeting from the host. Our waitress seated us, dropped off our drinks and we hardly saw her again. The food was very nice, basic but nice . The buffet is value for money though. The atmosphere was different, children walking around with no shoes, people looking at you then your handbag. The set out is lovely but work is needing with regards to interpersonal skills of the staff.
