What a disappointment. We were really looking forward to going here. Service is slow. Food took forever to come. We had 4 dishes. 2 of them were ice cold. Food is very bland. Coldrinks are overpriced. Definitely won’t go back.
The most value for money curry. They run a special for two people- it includes a starter (we had the onion bhaji), a meat dish (went for the butter chicken), a vegetable dish (we had sugar beans and potato curry) and a dessert- all for R150. All the food was delicious and there was actually too much of it!
Went back to Curry Up (Clear Water) today after having poor service and poor quality of food in the past, giving them an opportunity to redeemed themselves but unfortunately it only gets worse. After been given the menu and waiting for about 20 minutes to place our order, i had to call a waiter for assistant. (begging them to spend my money). I honestly think Curry Up is for the people who have no clue about what Indian food tastes like as well as how it should be served / prepared. A very big rip off. Attached is a picture of half of the the quarter bunny that had to be thrown away. While we have millions of people starving. All three bunnies had wasted bread. (definitely not value for money). According to the staff, they were told by the owner not to cut the bread deep. This exact thing has happened to me on a previous occasion and yes the owner had seen those pictures as well.
Had dinner here (2 for R150) food was great! Unfortunately the Service was not good, our table was dirty when we got to it and had to ask the waiter to clean it first( it was quiet, no excuse) we also had 2 waiters, not sure who to order from and the starters took long to get to us. As we ordered the special we were not informed as to how it actually works as our waiter/waiters did not explain it to us and we had to change our order. Customer service should be improved.
