We went for a quiet dinner on a Saturday evening. The place was still fairly quiet when we arrived. The garden area is beautiful so we sat on the patio despite the rain.We ordered the rump and chicken with olives. The food was very nice! Cooked to perfection and still juicy. The service, however, was a bit disappointing. The food arrived fairly quickly but once we were finished we sat for around 30minutes with no plates cleared and no sign of a waiter. We had wanted the order dessert but with no waiter, we couldn’t. We eventually got up and walked inside to ask for our bill. It did appear that they may have been understaffed though. For the food and outdoor area, it is well worth the visit though.
Well it surely offers you what the name says. It feels like you left the hustle and bustle of the busy city life behind and ended up on the farm. It’s quite a drive out towards Silver Lakes but well worth the outing. With friendly staff and welcoming ambience you can just sit back and relax. If you manage to be quiet and listen you can hear the neighbouting Lions roar (but mostly at night). Good food, swift service and a lovely setting. Thumbs up! They also do large functions and events.
We went for Sunday afternoon lunch with friends. This is such a nice farm, perfect to escape the city and enjoy nature. The farm have endless entertainment for kids, really liked the fact that you can see wild cats, you can book game drives, horse riding ect. There is so many tables and chairs everywhere, you can choose where you want to be seated. Each table had a machine that have 3 options, to call the waitor, ask for your bill and to call the managerThe service was excellent, the food/ light lunches were well presented and delicious. We had a very pleasant day out, would definitely visit again to try their buffet.
Very lekker evening for out anniversary. Farm inn went through a lot of effort to dine us in the garden. Food was delicious and service by Asher brilliant!! The small things that matter
Christmas lunch at Farm Inn is a well run affair. Allthough surrounded by housing estates nowadays, Farm Inn retainded the atmosphere of a safari lodge. The high thatch roof with fans turning provides cool shelter from the heat outside. Christmas Lunch is served as a buffet. Fish, cold meats, salad, peri-peri chicken livers and breadrolls are served as starters. For mains there is a carvery – roast lamb, pork and turkey with stuffing and Chicken pie and beef curry too. Pumpkin, spinach, roast potatoes and creamy macaroni cheese are the sides. All the food is freshly prepared and of good quality.A huge selection of sweets and a cheese board completes the meal. I had baklava and a koeksister – both outstanding and authentic. The service was efficient and friendly. Given that it was Christmas Lunch, made me appreciate it all the more.I have been told that the owners of Farm Inn also have their Christmas Lunch at the restaurant each year – if true, it sure shows their commitment!
