What sets Fortuno Guia apart from a typical neighbourhood Chinese restaurant is: a) a view over the Faerie Glen Nature reserve and b) lovely bright red upholstered seating. Service by the lively manager was friendly and fast. Aperitive Kun-Pao Peri Peri Calamari, taken away as lunch, hit the right place in my heart and stomach. It was spicy, slightly sweet and delicious. Made with big pieces of tender calamari, onion, green pepper and peanuts for crunch, it had a medium to hot pleasant warmth. A happy new dish discovered. Note: The restaurant is not accessible to the mobility challenged.

My all time favourite Chinese restaurant. Â I’d drive there from Jo’burg anytime. Â Their serve very traiditional Chinese food, and usually tehre is a family of Chinese eating a huge meal. Â Their soups are fantasticf. Â They have a good variaety of vegatiarian stuff. Â Their meat is always good. Â Service can great or grumpy depending on who you get.
Me and my girlfriend went for a dinner and we were pleasantly surprised, hidden away on the top floor of a small mall we found it. We had set menu A which started off with chicken and sweet corn soup and chicken spring rolls, both of them were great for the main we had sweet and sour pork and pepper beef, the pork was the best I’ve ever had at any Chinese restaurant the beef was good as well. For dessert we had bow ties and Chinese tea yet again good quality food! All this for R175 we had a great experience
