I am not a Sandwich person when presented with the options available at the food court in Menlyn, so as you can imagine, I was hesitant to try subway out. And I definately don’t regret it and will return soon.Staff is friendly but the big counter made it difficult for them to hear my chosen fillings as i was a little far from them and had to shout. I ordered a sweet chilli chicken and a friend of mine the Friday special. I must say though,it’s like Anat where you choose your fillings,so I find the pictures on the menu confusing because it depicts lettuce,tomato and cucumber in the sandwich with your chicken and sweet chilli sauce. But after picking your roll type they only add the main ingredient (sweet chilli chicken),put it in the toaster, thereafter you choose what you want inside.I understand now how it works, but for new visitors the menu on the wall makes it sound like you are ordering what’s in the picture already complete.This idea of your own filling is great as people can choose all the items they like but there are items you pay additional for and I don’t remember seeing a sign explain that. Also, some guy behind me had a double roll,probably ordered two footlongs in one,this should also be stated somewhere so people know that they can order a very long one should they wish.Friendly staff,well presented place and the sub was very tasty and I will be back for more!
Perfect to share, my Husband and I love sharing a quick subway footlong before or after a movie. Ingredients are always fresh and the staff is always friendly.The have different options on special everyday and you can add on or remove items. It also a nice healthier options with regards to the other take away food restaurants, would definitely recommend! Try the sweet onion sauce, it’s my favourite.
