I’m not usually one to rate fast food restaurants so highly, but Uncle Faouzi’s serves amazing Lebanese street food and is highly deserving of a 4 star ranking!
You can never ever go wrong with chow from Faouzi’s. This food has saved many students’ literal lives on heavy nights our and those of late night studying during test and exam weeks. I 100% recommend everything on the menu.
Uncle Faouzi’s becomes a kind of comfort food if you’re a student living in Hatfield – a place you’ll speak highly of but then get strange looks from your parents when you bring them around to the shop (which has entire cabinet of hookahs, I might add). Their food is cheap, delicious, filling and they’re open 24/7. What more could you want from a takeaway restaurant? In coming to the store, you may be overwhelmed by the amount of people who will probably come up to you and ask for money or food but, while they may appear overbearing, I’ve never experienced any violence or theft here – so just pack some extra food in, if possible, and do a good thing on your way to your shawarma.
