Incredible little coffee shop with light menu. The kids area is ideal for small toddlers and great service. This hidden gem is well priced, great for breakfast or a toasted sarmie/pancake and not too crowded
I am in love with their chicken a la king savoury pancake and their lemon meringue cake. Beautiful outdoor setting. If you are a nature lover, an outdoors person like me than you will love Lemon Grove.
The Lemon Grove is a lovely tea garden situated at the back of a nursery that also has a gift shop. The nursery makes for a lovely setting with all the plants and flowers. The bathrooms are hidden inside of a rock cove. They have inside and outside seating, the outside seating on a warm day is lovely because you sit under the big trees and they have lots of little things hung in them. The inside can be booked for functions. They also have a nice kiddies play area. The staff is well trained and helpful and friendly. We got our order fairly quickly and they got everything correct. The food was very nice and the savoury pancakes are nice and filling. Their cakes are also delicious and the apple pie was actually filled with apples, they didn’t skimp on the apples, this is a big plus! The parking is a bit misleading, there is limited parking in the front, we were not made aware that there is additional parking for the restaurant at the back.
We decided to try out The Lemon Grove for Mother’s Day. Lovely tea garden effect situated at the back of a nursery so you have a great view of leafy greens to look out on. It was a very cold day and The Lemon Grove didn’t really have ‘warm’ spots with only sails to block the wind however it helped and we were still able to have an enjoyable time. The food was delicious. Perfect scrambled eggs, Crispy bacon strips, cheese grillers, grilled mushrooms and Roasted tomato with melted cheese on top. It was a great choice for a cold day.The service is not too bad. They have trained waiters as well as waiters in training. The waiters in training still need to learn a few things but it doesn’t bother that much.Great selection of warm drink to help ease the cold. The bathrooms are in a type of rock cove. The first to bathrooms are Clean and spacious however the 3rd looks unusable and I would suggest closing the door to this bathroom to keep customers from peeking out of curiosity.I would like to try this again on a warmer day to experience a different atmosphere and maybe sitting on the deck enjoying a nice cool drink.
