Came here for an early supper with friends . It’s located right at the entrance of the mall ,very easy to locate . And although it’s near a lot of stores it’s not interrupted by the surroundings of the mall .The service is really good and the waiting time for your order isn’t too bad . I ordered a quarter chicken and calamari and to drink I had one of the mini Nederburg wines . Im so obsessed with these mini wines they’re great for when you want alcohol but don’t want to go too overboard and still function throughout the day . The calamari was a bit too crunchy and the chicken did not look appealing but it tasted okay . A good Wimpy overall.
Decided to go for a quick brunch at Wimpy. They’ve got a new range of burgers (Onion stack – beef and Hash tag – chicken). Started with some cuppacinos with cream followed by the burgers. I would’ve preferred the Hash tag with a beef patty since the chicken breast was a bit bland. Also, on the picture for the Hash Tag burger, there was quite a few small potatos. This was not the case when I got the burger. I don’t expect a bag full of potatoes, but at least provide the same portion or close to what is offered on the menu picture.
Unfortunately this was the worst Wimpy experience ever. We sat down quickly and there were no queue, order taking was great by Thelma, quick and responsive. The problem is unfortunately after 40 min we still haven’t received any drinks or food. The manager was nowhere to be found, so I publicly announced that we are leaving.
This is a great place, especially after the revamp of the mall.The place is in such a central place and there is just so much more space than before. The service was excellent and I must say that that I had a bad experience at their previous location. Speedy service friendly staff, and delicious breakfast. Think its one of the better wimpy’s out there.
The upgrade is amazing and it is very spacious so you have your own bubble. The food is always been fresh! I always order a banana boat when I come here because of the trust I have in the quality and freshness of the fruits used. The wimpy coffee is as good as always. Service is reasonable.
