Very limited menu with some very strange items. But otherwise their beers are really good and their wine selection is not too bad. The best thing about the place is the historical richness of the establishment. The decor and and vibe definitely makes the experience worth it.
Cafe Riche is a cafe on the south western corner of the historical Church Square in the Pretoria CBD. A warm friendly place in a gorgeous old building. The interior is reminiscent of old world charm. Sitting there I could imagine the voices of times gone by.Unfortunately for the cafe and the city, Church Square has been awash with litter at the end of yesterday. A shady character approached me and wanted R30 for parking.These factors tend to discourage visitors to Church Square, subsequently to the detriment of Cafe Riche. :(The menu is basic but the food is fresh. Ordered baguette with Bockwurst & Gherkin. It wasn’t a baguette but a (fresh) sausage roll bun. Served with mustard. Tasted good. Service fine & friendly.
