What a fantastic experience! Amazing food, great service and a picturesque farmlands setting in the middle of Irene! From wholesome and carb loaded, to Banting and delicious this restaurant offers something for everyone! I definitely recommend this place if you want to impress your in laws, entertain the kids or just enjoy a divine experience!
Rainy Saturday morning breakfast with a friend.Still this restaurant was packed.The service was good, the food tasty and they were so kind to substitute the chips for salad.Even though it was very busy, it’s still unacceptable to have empty salt and pepper pots on the table.Al over good experience and average food.
We chose this place over the other options at the dairy farm because of bad reviews at the others and good reviews here. What a terrible mistake.It started good with coffee coming super promptly and the friendly banter that comes with good service. There were two or three tables of people in before us and we ordered relatively quickly.We waited. We waited more. Coffee long finished and no one offered another beverage. We waited some more. I walked to the restaurant at the bottom to use the restrooms. We waited some more.After an hour+ of waiting for food, my partner suggested we just leave. Then a table of four that was seated well after us received their food. My partner asked what was going on and was followed back to the table with our plates that had clearly been sitting around for some time.The mushrooms on his plate, though apparently tasty, were dry. His sausages were cold. My omelet was hot but bland and overcooked. He managed to finish his plate due only to hunger levels. I couldn’t manage the same.For R190, we had two terrible breakfasts and 2 coffees and waited for well over an hour to do so. There were no apologies from the servers and no manager in sight. The only time someone offered us something additional to drink was when my partner was nearly done with his food.One can only hope this is a fluke, but I doubt it and wouldn’t take the chance of finding out.
