Stunning view, perfect for sundowners.The food was a tad disappointing, menu is limited and a bit pricey for the type of food being served. They do know how to mix a mean drink for those who like theirs a little stronger than black coffee early in the morning. I’ll definitely visit the bar more often but the restaurant can miss my money.
Did not have the wine that we wanted to order, the food was OK, the service horrendous and the attitude of management when called on it was worse. Absolutely no reason to go back.

A visit to Irene Country Lodge Meadow View restaurant was relaxing with the beauty of the surroundings. The restaurant ambience was perfect for the evening with a live pianist. The service was good but unfortunately the food wasn’t as great. The pictures reflect well presented meals but the flavour was lacking. The roasted crown of chicken was very bland and the beef fillet not prepared as requested. Overall, I would definitely recommend for drinks and ambience but not necessarily for meals as the menu is also somewhat limited.
