I don’t know what was more off putting, the oily smell as you enter, the dagger eyes the service staff gives you as you walk because, I guess you as a customer coming in means the inevitable for them, having to do their job, I know terrible isn’t it. I really had high hopes, I assumed it to be a cute spot with impeccable service and good homely food but it really wasn’t. I walked in to the cashier girl on her phone she didn’t even bother to look up at me as she continue on her Facebook page she pointed to the menu, at this point I was quite ready to go but I was famished and I needed to refuel before heading to midrand so I forged on. I decided to have a sunrise breakfast with a cup of coffee to go, the cashier then had to call the cook 3 times, oh not from the back, from a table that’s literally a meter away from the cashier table, the cook then had the nerve to snicker about the cashier and myself in Tswana I don’t know why she assumed I don’t understand, she said there was no need for shouting from the cashier and that the princess (referring to me) will get her order when she gets it, I really felt tempted to respond but I also didn’t want to mess with the person handling my food especially because I had no other dinning option as I’m not so familiar with centurion 4. Upon waiting for my food I took a stroll, and my heart just sank, this place is so cute and would really make such a lovely mad hater tea party or ladies luncheon, but there’s so much that’s off putting about it, bad service, tacky sale items in the main dinning area, a very disappointing and plain menu I do wish the place was managed better, one of the things I noticed was how most people love dinning in the outside area but in my entire stay I did not see one personal or staff check on the people at the back which further extended my thoughts on how terrible the service is I’m really saddened by this space because they could do so much more. Oh on the note of food the coffee was quite good, I don’t like that I wasn’t asked how I want my eggs prepared or which bread I would like, and everything was a bit too oily for my liking.

Lovely tea garden with lots of space. Perfect for a small function.Cheap breakfast options (R16.50) that still taste great. Quality service.Clean and spacious. Great place to host a kitchen tea or birthday brunch.Sadly no card facilities, they only accept cash so be sure to have cash with you when visiting this cafe.
