Had an awesome slow Sunday. Great bacon, feta and fillet steak salad with some lovely surprises of gooseberries, blueberries and pumpkin seed. Weird I know but just venture a try of this exquisite fresh summer salad. Generous portion, this is the real deal.

As you enter this plot you are immediately welcomed by beautiful trees, walking in you are welcomed by warm smiles and I think that was either the manager or owner who adds a personal touch to go around each table asking if everything was okay you truly feel welcomed. You have the choice of sitting inside or outside on the green lawn with ample shading, we sat outside to see the beautiful view, they had what seemed like a party for kids going on so it’s very kid friendly. Moving on to the food it was delicious I had the freedom burger which was really big and so so good my partner had the pork belly which was as equally tasty if not more. Lovely place to host a baby shower or any other event, really can’t fault this place. A must visit.

La Vie Lente is an absolutely superb place to relax and enjoy good food. Not being a fan of the tradional tea-garden vibe, I didn’t expect much of this place. Boy, was I surprised! The staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful, the food is fresh and very well made and the ambience is great. The setting and decor is beautiful. It’s very child friendly too, but it isn’t the only feature as is the case with most tea-gardens.The food is truly delicious. The burgers have delicious brioche-y buns and the patties are very well made. The burger with bacon, mozerella, guacamole and exotic mushrooms is sublime! The sharing platters are fantastic, especially the chorizo croquettes. The salads are also divine, fresh and perfect to share. The lemon meringue is to die for!Once again, the service is amazing. Marguerite Van Der Merwe ordered a cuppacino and just as it arrived, her baby needed to be fed. After this was finished, her cuppacino was a bit cold and out lovely waiter noticed this and replaced it for free. Some of the best service I’ve had in years. This place is definitely worth a visit. Thanks for being the best brunch spot around!
