Hi, we had been recommended Rays from several other Dunkirk residents. So off we went for lunchThe ambiance is dull unfortunately bought about by too much concrete and cement floors. The starters were amazing, fish cake, brinjal and chicken livers. Mains consisted of geel bek, which was very dry however veg was great. Pizza was cold and was replaced with a soft based pizza which was undercooked. The peri peri deboned chicken was amazing. The cheese burger pattie was dry. Was disappointed in the thin MacDonalds type French fries. The ice cream and chocolate brownie pudding was good. Wine list was expensive All in all a disappointing and expensive outing.
Great building and always a great vibe and ambiance with great service. Specials that change daily and a well thought out wine list. If you like mussels give these a smack.
You simply cannot go wrong at Ray’s Kitchen. The food is delicious, the portions generous and the staff friendly and efficient. We go there often on a Friday evening because the atmosphere is vibey and friendly and Paul is always coming round to check that you are enjoying the food. It’s like fine-dining, but without the need to get all dressed up and stuffy.
Simply delicious. We all enjoyed our food and definitely be back. The Masala Mussels were Superb. If you haven’t tried this little treasure do yourself a favor and head down to Ray’s
