I love every visit to this character filled resturant with amazing food and friendly staff, to top it all off a lovely cat spending the evening on your lap. Mrs Simpsons is a delight

We had our anniversary dinner here in April. Food was really good and the service was excellent. We have never ever tasted cheesecake and brownies like theirs before. Out of this world!! Interesting story to the restaurant and would definitely go back. You HAVE to book though – they are always full.

Went to Mrs Simpson’s for lunch today. Lovely ambience and excellent service. The bartered hake was cooked superbly with hot fresh chips. This was yummy. Two of us had this. My husband asked for medium fillet and it arrived very overdone. We asked for this to be rectified. The waiter was very polite and offered him rump instead. My hubby agreed to this. Unfortunately round 2 was also disappointing. The steak was underdone and the cut of meat was of a poor quality. Such a pity to get two rounds of steak that were virtually inedible.

Probably best garlic snails i’ve ever had in my life service was fantastic, owner came out to greet and chat, even Wallace the cat is a delight.Decor is rustic, unique and homely, even tells its own story about Mrs. Simpson herself and her shoe fetish – ideal place if you like shoes and good food.Place is not just about food, it’s an experience as all great restaurants are.
