Waited 35min before getting up and paying bill for 2 bottles of water. Worse service ever. Prices also seemed very steep for this type of place. Luckily there are better service just around the corner. Avoid this place like the plague since service is non existing in such a way that I can’t even comment on the food

We went on a Saturday night. The vibe was great. They had the rugby on various big screens for us to watch. They had a fire going. What a lovely experience!! They served soup to taste, for free. It was lovely. They also served popcorn during the rugby, for free. We had cold beers and extra cold cocktails. The server was super friendly!! And helpful. We even bought home-made chillie chutney that they have there. The food was great!! They will be seeing us soon!!
We went to Fisherman’s Deck to enjoy a meal while our children went fishing. On arrival, we ordered our drinks, which only appeared about 30 minutes later (despite the fact that others who arrived after us, received their drinks way ahead of us). I ordered 5 Roses tea and received half a mug of hot water and a rooibos teabag. On inquiry, I was told that they did not have any tea, other than Rooibos! Our waitress was very helpful and friendly, but the attitude of the manager is nothing short of disgusting. When we asked about our children doing some fishing in their very green dam, he snapped at us that their fishing rods had been stolen. I had to work out that our kids couldn’t fish, with no apologies or niceties from him. Also no apology about there being no 5 Roses tea! We asked for the bill and left; very disappointed children and parents who felt that they had wasted a journey from Johannesburg. Not too far down the road, we went to The Windmill, where prices were half that of Fishermans Deck, for 100% better quality.
