Food has always been good and the bakery is awesome, we decided to try out the DIY braai option. It is a bit costly but the meat cuts were well prepared, as was the salads and pap. The scenery is tranquil and relaxing and we enjoyed our prolonged stay. The one area for improvement is the service, it could be a lot more efficient.
We sat inside due to a disabled member of our party not being able to get down the stairs. The smell of the bokkoms hanging in the shop kept wafting through, it was awful. The building is in serious need of an upgrade. The gardens are unkempt and the tables outside look dirty. When our newly employed server asked an existing server to verify an answer about the menu the existing server actually rolled her eyes at us. Rude! A lot of the food choices we made were unavailable.Although the food was tasty, the portion sizes are really small. They do advertise their meals as ‘light meals’ but that was ridiculous. We left hungry. I don’t know what would make people go back, but I am most certainly not one of those people.
