I am always afraid of the food court at Sun City. This was a pleasant surprise. Food was great and even though they were very busy they were very efficient.
The restaurant calls itself a Portuguese restaurant but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We did not enjoy the food at all. We ordered Prawn rissóis and were told they couldn’t serve it because they were spoiled. Then we ordered a lobster with chips and vegetables, including creamed spinach. The lobster was deep fried instead of grilled (like we had asked). The lobster was spoiled as well, completely bitter and with a bad odour. The chips were old and oily (like they had been refried). The creamed spinach and the veggies were off as well. Then, our Bacalhau à Brás and Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá arrived looking like porridge and tasting awful. Even though we didn’t eat the lobster at all, no one bothered to ask if there was something wrong with the food. So we paid our bill and left never to come back again.
