I think I must have mentioned this on a few reviews about the sun city bars in particular – they all need to standardize their cocktail menu. That said maybe they should all be standardized to the Sun City Hotel Pool Deck recipe because they have it right. Not only do they have a whole separate menu for no alcoholic based cocktails their Piña Colada and Strawberry Daiquiri is probably the best I’ve tasted on the resort. Still not great but if you want to laze by the pool with a cocktail this is where you should do it.
The vibe is very casual and cool, a perfect place to catch some sundowners or a cool and refreshing drink by the pool side.The drinks were fantastic and the service was good.I found the presence of many insects in and around the bar to be unappealing , especially the flies that I saw sitting on the lemon wedges and on the straws (not cool ) .I enjoyed the Blue Lagoon Cocktail, although I felt that the bar could broaden the variety of cocktails and shooters on their menu.
Food is really yummy. Service was quick and efficient and the staff are friendly as well!! I ordered a chicken mayo, extra plate of chips and a tropical chicken burger. The food was better than i expected. Atmosphere is good as there was music playing in the background and the view of the pool is wonderful!
A good place to go cool down after a walk on the golf course on a hot day, the Pool Deck at the Sun City Hotel has everything you need, but it’s not particularly special. Drinks are alright, maybe lacking in a bit of creativity. But all the standard cocktails are there and they taste pretty good too. I like the fact that they give you plastic cups, since this makes it easier to enjoy your drink at the pool and easy to dispose of.The bar itself is in desperate need of a renovation – it’s quite warm, the tiles and counters look quite old, etc. I would recommend this bar as a family-friendly type of place, conveniently located right next to the pool. A nice place to cool off!
