Warm inviting restaurant with a nice ambiance and decent service. The prices are fair but we were disappointed with portions. The ribs are the smallest I’ve seen in Cape Town and were a little dry. The veg was underwhelming and it came with what appeared to be a salad? A half a cherry tomotoe and one leave of greens, very arbitrary even as a garnish.
Cosy, homely restaurant with good service. Wine and pizza are delicious! I highly recommend The Bull Pizza:Flavourful and unique. I will definitely be back to try their steak and calamari.
Pathetic service. Inattentive staff with bad attitudes. Waited over an hour for our meals and had to be subjected to lies from both management and staff. Small selection of meals available in Entertainer App.
My husband and I came here one evening as we saw Louis on the Block on the Entertainer. The decor and feel is very old school and you can see this place is quite an institution and still popular with the locals. We were feeling for steaks, only to be told that these were not included on the Entertainer so we opted for pizzas instead. The pizzas were nice and thin-based and very filling. I wouldn’t mind coming back for another and the Entertainer makes it quite good value for money.
Charming and cozy inside and full of locals; as this little restaurant is hidden away where no one would think about looking.I recommend booking as they’re only open at night and it seems like they’re always full. Â Luckily we were accommodated without a booking, and I really cant criticize the service as it was perfect. All the meals were well priced and we enjoyed our steak and pizza, everything reminded us of home cooked goodness. Â Therefore if you’re feeling a bit to lazy tonight and don’t feeling like cooking, I highly recommend popping in to Louis on the block.A side note, I would love to see this place open for lunch on the weekends.
