Came here with my girlfriend for dinner. She ordered grilled hake and vegetables and I ordered fried hake and chips. The fish was really tastey and fresh. The chips were crispy and delicious. The vegetables tasted like they were microwaved. The food was very well presented. Mine arrived on a nice wooden board and the chips in a basket.I asked for vinegar. And that was quite a joke. I barely got enough to cover my chips. The food was really delicious!! There’s a big BUT. And that is value for money. The portions weren’t huge and the bill was quite expensive.I’d come back here. But not in the biggest rush.
This was once a great fish restaurant for brilliantly prepared fish. It’s now a terrible place where you rather get from a fast food outlet. We ordered the chargrilled souls that were floating in oil! The chips were bad, the other order hake and rice. The hake was a sample portion poorly grilled. Save you money and time
This restaurant is quaint and not very busy. The food comes out relatively quickly. Unfortunately, their chips are too dry and the fried calamari has too much batter. The staff is efficient – which you always want, so that is a plus! The menu has a wide variety of meals, so I would come back to sample other dishes.
Love this place. Cozy, relaxed and the service is epic. It’s a pretty small place and has a great vibe. I had the mexican burger which enormous, but delicious.
We went to the restaurant to book a specific table in the corner for two. Got there and was given a different table as our booked table was occupied. Already not a good start. My wife ordered sole and chips. Sole was OK but chips were “slap” and not crispy- perhaps left over from the night before. I ordered prawns with rice. Prawns were tiny and dissapointing . Rice was tasteless. Non the less service was excellent. Not cheap – took own wine bill was R 400 for two.
