We had a fantastic time at Surf Cafe. It is a little treasure hidden awa in Plett. You get a real local vibe and the music is awesome. The food is affordable and great value for money.
God was good, and a very friendly waitress.
Phoned before going to surf cafe to find out if they had vegan food – the guy on the phone told me there were many options for vegans. Got to the restaurant and ordered what he told me what was vegan and specified to the waiter to tell the chefs that I was a vegan (as well as saying no mayo etc.). The burger came, with mayo – so I called the manager who took the burger back. Another manager came, told me that I could get a curry which was vegan. After about ten minutes another ‘manager’ came and told me that the curry and burger patty was in fact not vegan. Apart from this the drinks and food took about two hours to come.
