Just took 11 family and friends to The Bungalow tonight. Thought it would be a special evening to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. The quality of the food for the price was the most disappointing I’ve ever experienced. R250 for a 250gram rib eye steak which was a thin piece of sirloin actually. This was pathetic to say the least. I could have done far better in my kitchen! For the thousands we spent, we didn’t get much joy and no one even asked me how my food was, but we paid the tip!

I eat here last night and I was extremely hungry so I didnt feel like going to a cheaper restaurant. The service was excellent and food arrived fast. The prawns were way overpriced and was dry and the catch of the day was bland but moist. Everything on the menu is overpriced and not worth the money. I just liked the view

Made a reservation and paid a deposit to secure said reservation yet arrived and our table had been given away. Staff didn’t really know what to do or where to place us, ended up discarding us to the bar area. Had we not continuously followed up, we’d have been left to sit there all night despite our reservation and despite the deposit paid. Eventually, we were seated, and although the wait staff were very friendly and vigilant, the hostesses were fairly unprofessional. The ambience, location and view of the restaurant are all stunning, but the food was nothing to write home about. Quite overpriced for the food we received. I ordered a medium rare steak, which arrived as basically rare. The redeeming factor was really the waitstaff as they were friendly, ensured our comfort and also made sure that our glasses were never empty.

Really disappointed. The restaurant has a lovely ambience, however poor service and overpriced chow. I really had high hopes for this place.
