Drinks are nice. The service was terrible. To longo to bring simple drinks like tequilas and bottles beers, almost 20mins and today ain’t full. I order a burger and asked for extra bacon. The waiter that seams to be high attending us with sun glasses wile the sun is down even. He told his colleague that he has told me that he had told me that they don’t do bacon any more and it was a ly. I waited almost 30 minutes to be informed. They took my burger to worm it added chips but the bun was dry already because probably was wormed 2 times. I’m gonna pay to much for a terrible service. I’m not giving 10% tip for shore. The waiter was wearing sun glasses and when I told him politely to not use sun glasses when dealing with costumers he was rude and disrespectful. Traders is a good place to hang out and spend the day. Those type of waiters don’t deserve to work here. His name is Divine if that is his real name since he lied to be Angolan.
Great cocktails, great views, friendly and swift service. My partner and I shared the chicken schnitzel and their basket platter (Karoo lamb chops, chicken strips, and meatballs). The schnitzel sauce was a little bland (peppercorn) but I’ll definitely be back to try other menu items. I’ve heard the salt and pepper squid is great.
Opted to end a lovely high tea off here with cocktails at The Bay Hotel. Not impressed to say the least. We walked in to a reception where no one greets or even asks whether you need assistance. Eventually finding our way to Traders, sadly there was no staff available of to be seen. In search of assistance eventually the barman was sent up to help us. I ordered the Tomato cocktail and my friend drank a tea. My Tomato cocktail wasn’t great hardly if any vodka in. Poor poor service of the hotel. The staff once found were friendly and helpful. Just feel very let down by the high expectation created via media, only to find out it’s below average and ridiculously expensive. Not keen on trying them again!!
Your standard hotel breakfast, we had no complaints about the food – tasty and well presented, Service and view are so fantastic that it makes it worth the visit!
