Good place to come chill on a sunny day. The service is average to good. The food is well priced and always enjoyable. Love the little play area and the animals for the kids.

We only go to Big Barrel for drinks with friends, prices are very good & there’s lots of space to sit outside. The food is your basic bar meals, I was not very impressed with the meals I have ordered there before it seems very oily and sometimes over-cooked.

Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The outside seating was rather full although there was a cold chill. We requested to move to the deck area which was more shielded, but were told you aren’t allowed to move so we had to sit in the cold. I ordered a tropical juice, but it tasted and looked horrible. Thankfully the manager took it back and I could exchange it for something bottled and familiar. Our food on the other hand was much better, served with vegetables. I had the ladies ribs which were decent. Calamari a favourite around the table and the onion rings were also good.

I decided to visit for lunch on Friday and was slightly disappointed. I havnt been to the big barrel in a while, but it wasn’t as I remembered. The food is still pretty affordable but the place lacked atmosphere and the food was bland. Our chips were undercooked and my calamari was sitting in oil. Perhaps we just went at the wrong time, but it really needs a bit of a sprucing up. Hopefully future visitors have a good experience.

Cold froffies with a cool vibe. There is great outside area for the kids to play. Plenty of screens for sports. Free flowing drinks and reasonably priced. Service is pretty good and no real complaints about the food. Standard pub fare but worth the visit with friends or work function.
