The staff are really cool and friendly at the beer garden. Beers are really good. The view is insane though. Its one of my favourite craft breweries and a real pleasant place to relax with either a bottle of great wine or a nice beer
I strongly recommend making a booking when wine tasting in the Durbanville region it is very simple and easy to do and saves a lot of unnecessary disappointment. We were a walk in and thankfully managed to be seated at the wine bar however it worked out better in the end. Our wine sommelier was very knowledgeable and appreciates when people show an interest in the wine.Hillcrest does a lot of single varietals of the Bordeaux blend and they do them very well. There flagship tasting is very good and should they be out of a wine they replace it with an equal quality wine of a different varietal. Overall the tasting was very informative and enjoyable we will be back
Durbanville is filled with hidden gems like Hillcrest. Boasting a wine tasting room, restaurant, and a recently opened beer garden, this wine estate has it all.The wine tasting room is quiet and quaint. You get personal attention from the staff, who are very knowledgeable about their wines, and you have 3 tasting options to choose from. We had the Estate Range tasting, which at R30 for 4 wines, is a very good price. Afterwards we did a beer tasting and enjoyed some pizza in the beer garden. It’s a lovely place to relax and soak up the winter sun.Will definitely go back soon to try the other tastings!
Lovely space. Very unique with the old wine bottles as decor. They were busy but we still had great service. The restaurant had a nice view. The olives are amazing! Would recommend to anyone to go visit
