I was looking for a pleasant lunch venue with a view to enjoy on a hot summer’s day. In my search for something a bit different to the usual beachfront places, I happened upon the Zomato listing for McPherson’s. I’d popped in here years ago and then forgotten about it! I’m so glad I’ve been reminded of its existence as I had a great time. The setting is utterly lovely with a lawn area (admittedly suffering a bit in the drought) and a glorious view of Table Mountain. It can feel a little bit messy when tables are about to be set up for a function and not all have chairs or the chairs are placed haphazardly. But we were relaxed and just loving the calm surroundings. Service from Arthur was very pleasant and attentive. The food is simply presented and quite plain but amazing value for money. We tried their house wine based on Arthur’s recommendation and were not disappointed. The pricing, setting, and friendly service will have me coming back for more. I won’t forget them again!

Having employees smoke and drink behind the bar while serving you is NOT an experience any customer would want. The accommodation is overpriced and definitely underdelivered and if you like rubber eggs and burnt coffee with your breakfast then this is the place to be!
Delicious Tuesday burgers buy one get one free. Breakfast also very nice . Best chips ever . Relaxing atmosphere . Rustic decor. Child friendly . Lovely grassed play area for kids .
