Continum this morning. This little spot overlooks the park which is perfect for me because having Duke in tow means I can grab a cup of coffee and and something to nibble on then go entertain him next door. The look can only be described as distinctly Woodstock. It’s a little bit quirky, a little bit arty, a little bit wooden and a little bit hipster. I like the Little rock roses on the table and random little things in every corner. Their menu is small which I appreciate – always stick to what you can do best. I decided on a cappuccino and a slice of carrot cake. The coffee is from Deluxe and is strong but tasty. The micro foam however needs a bit of work. The carrot cake was delightful- I love carrot cakes that are moist and don’t have big pieces of pineapple in them. Much like pizza pineapple doesn’t belong near a carrot cake. I liked ratio of nuts in the bake and the cream cheese icing. This place doesn’t advertise themselves as pet friendly but when I walked in and asked if it was okay I wasn’t turned away and I appreciate that. For that extra points.
