Popped into this little restaurant for breakfast as I saw we have an Entertainer for it. I recommend giving yourself enough time to find parking down one of the side alleys as Woodstock can be a bit of a mission wifh parking and there is no demarcated area for the restaurant. Service- we had really good service. The waitress was friendly and gave us advice about the food. The food arrived quickly after we ordered Ambiance- the cafe itself is beautifully decorated, I loved all of the plants hanging everywhere. Unfortunately it is on a busy main road and the trucks passing really do make it very noisy. It wasn’t a particularly peaceful place to eat. Food- I found the food a bit disappointing. We both ordered the charcoal waffles as they sounded different and interesting. On the whole though they were a bit soggy and I found them overly sweet. If they were crispy and had a more cream cheese/yoghurt accompaniment I think they would have been a lovely addition to the menu, but as they stand they were a lot like the cheap waffles one can get at a fair. Coffees- the coffee was excellent. We really enjoyed both a normal coffee and a beetroot latte. We were unsure what to expect with the latter but it was really delicious.
Cute bright little nook adorned with greens draped across the walls. Perfect for couples and the lone ranger looking for a tasty lunch or home baked sweet treatsThe pink lattè with beetroot and cacao is perfectly balanced, without being too sweet. To eat we had the flatbreads, both the veg (with beetroot falaffel) and meat (spiced chicken) options were great. They also have a great variety of sweet treats including brownies , muffins and cake. We grabbed some scones with cream, cheese and jam on the way out.
Wonderful new addition to the Woodstock cafe line up. I had an amazing Benedict this morning on a potato waffle and I also tried the mushroom ragù which is creamy and fresh.
Great little breakfast and lunch place. Service was great, and the food was good. I had the special for the day – a hearty miso soup which was exceptionally tasty. Look forward to going back to try other items on their lovely menu.
