Best dining experience ever. Bold and strong flavours. Every dish is like a hundred ingredients having a party in the mouth. You can taste the effort the chef puts in choosing every single ingredient because they complement each other so well.

WORTH. EVERY. STAR. A dinner at The Test Kitchen is an experience from the moment those dark doors open before you and close after you’ve left. Every detail of the simplistic, yet elegant decor, the signature cocktails, waiters’ appearance and of course every single dish was exceptional. I found the comfortable ambience of this fine dining restaurant refreshing and all together lovely. The food was impeccable. Every dish was carefully put together and created symphonies on my palate. Thank you TK Team for my best restaurant experience this year.

It was lucky that the October reservations for The Test Kitchen only came out in September. It gave me plenty of (last minute) time to read about where I wanted to eat in Cape Town and decide if it was worth paying the R2250 + 12% service to go to The Test Kitchen. The alternative would have been to try The Pot Luck Club, and in hindsight maybe I should have tried both. But there were other food places in Cape Town I liked the sound of and food there is otherwise relatively cheap.
