Saw a rat run down the back wall, and got food poisoning the next day.!Just to make sure- this is my own personal experience, and exactly what happened to me- I have no personal vendetta, I do however think I should share my experience to save others/.So we ordered a bottle of wine whilst out on our ‘date night’, but they came back a few minutes later and informed us they didn’t have that particular wine, this happened two more times, finally on choice number 4 they had it (their house). We got the wine, carried on deciding what to eat. As we were sitting there I saw a rat run down the wall into what I later found out was their pizza station! As we had the wine we decided it was a little too late to leave, along with most other places being closed on this bank holiday. I opted for the Kleftico- I used to live in greece and loved this dish. They went away with our orders, then came back and said they had run out of kleftico (again a few minutes later). Which was definitely a lie- we were the only people in the restaurant! Kleftico is usually slow cooked and they obviously decided not to make any that day due to bank holiday I assume – either way, I don’t appreciate the phib. Anyway I re-decided on a pizza as I thought that can’t go too wrong! Then I saw the pizza being made at the same place as I saw that rat!!!!The next day I was violently ill, vomiting etc. This is the only place I had eaten out, and all other meals in the time frame were veg based with no possibility of food poisoning coming from that- I am 100% sure it was from here. Obviously will never go back, and will warn all my friends (and anyone who asks) not to go so they don’t suffer as I did. Unfortunately for me it ruined my best friends wedding weekend as I couldn’t join in! I just wish I left after seeing that rat!I hope my experience can help others to stay away, but most importantly bump the restaurant into having a look at their hygiene standards.

We haven’t been here for a while, so we decided to give it another try. Never again. The baklava was 2 tiny samosa looking parcels, and one had a chunk out. So I basically got one and a half. The food was very average, the Melitzinosolata dip was awful, no seasoning or salt. But all four of us spend the night in the bathroom with stomach upset and cramps.

A lovely setting! Next time we will sit outside. The restaurant has a lovely garden. The food was cooked to perfection and was well priced. I was very impressed. Everything was fresh and tasty. Excellent service. We will be back!
