Saltwater Grill is extremely popular and serves of the best seafood around. It was packed this evening which is obviously a good sign for the owners.Four of us had a different starters ranging from fish cakes, salt and pepper calamari, while one opted for the ‘fancy salad’. A good start.For mains the 2 ladies had the sole, my friend had prawns and I opted for the fish stew (highly recommended). While the other 3 were very happy, I was completely underwhelmed by the stew. It was tasty but it was basically a broth/soup with some calamari rings, a couple of small prawns and some black mussels, and really quite a small dish for the price one paid.Would we go back ? Yes. But I will try something else.A decent wine and beer list to choose from.

I have now been to Salt Water Grill 5 times and have yet to be disappointed in any way. The service is excellent, the atmosphere friendly , Claudio Paioni or his son personally see to it that you enjoy the experience. All the dishes are excellent ,however the seafood platter for two at R395 is the most amazing seafood dish . Argentinian wild prawns are both large and succulent .The calamari strips were tender and tasty, the mussels were plump, a rarety these days. The thai catfish was unbelievable and the octopus tentacles were cooked to perfection . The dessert menu is also mouth watering but we were too full to eat another morsel. This was an all round satisfying dining experience. I will be back
Very impressed with the food!! Highly recommend.. the seared tuna was delicious and most likely the best veggies I’ve ever had while eating out.
