We visited the Dros on a Friday and I went for the eisbein special. Bad mistake. My order arrived in under 15 minutes (which should have been a warning sign to start with) together with a complimentary glass of wine would was great. The eisbein unfortunately was not freshly made, and had been taken out of the chiller and submerged in the deep fat fryer to heat it through. It was close to burnt on the outside and barely at room temperature in the middle. The only redeeming feature is that it was cheap. I would gladly have waited longer to receive a freshly prepared meal.

Wonderful experience, makes me want to go back to Cape Town, the waiter was great. Pity I can’t recall the waiters name but he is good at what he does!
