**UPDATE 2 **Decided to pop past for coffee and a bite to eat with my fur child Sir Duke of Corgalot. Having spots that are dog friendly is a huge perk especially when want to have a nice breakfast but also need to walk your pooch. This morning I had the caprice sandwich, toasted and it was delightful. Perfect sized portion with tomato and mozzarella and some rocket. There is great punch of flavor with the basil pesto and mayo. A nice simple sandwich prepared great. The cappuccino was also excellent as usual. More importantly my fur child was happy sitting next to me lapping up affection from other customers. **UPDATE 1 **Today I’m having a look at the Field Office perched on the corner of the historic street of Salisbury in Woodstock. I love how the modern interior with raw finishes creates a stark difference from the Victorian homes that line the streets outside. The stand out features for me is the metal almost Art Deco cladding of the bar area accented by two big Edison bulbs and the raw wood finished to a smooth surface. The huge yellowwood beams is a tribute to a time gone by and really nice to see polished and taken car of. The colours play so well with each other. This place manages to be edgy without trying. Being pet friendly is also a huge plus for me. Coffee wise the cappuccino I had was incredibly strong. No shortage of caffeine there at all. With some brown sugar it tastes good. Food wise I ordered the poached eggs, not quite an Eggs Benedict but if they offered Eggs Benedict I would be all over that. One of my eggs was perfectly poached the other was overdone as the yolk broke open during cooking.Perks of this place, free wifi, plug points built into the table *one of them, more of this please.
So obviously it being Friday,I think I can take my time to get ready and I land up procrastinating and not eating breakfast. Long story short, it leads me here, on my way to work, as it’s just around the corner. Awesome breakfast specials and a great cappuccino (decent size as well). Looks like it going to become my local favourite and maybe my lunchtime choice too ♥
The Field Office in Woodstock is so hidden away, you have to be a local hipster to know about this one. Tucked away in suburbian Woodstock, this place is really great if you want to be the only person enjoying a fresh flat white all on your own. The coffee is really great and well-priced. The food is nothing out of the ordinary. We had a standard omelette with cheese and mushrooms. Always a good choice when you want to rid yourself of a hangover.
I make a daily coffee run to the Salisbury Field Office. The two baristas are always very friendly and chatty. Ironically I no longer need to say anything when I walk in as they remember my order and have it ready before I’ve even got to the counter. I’m not much of a coffee connoisseur but I’m pretty sure I’m drinking some top notch coffee. Beverages aside, the food is decent and the vibe is always energetic and busy.
