Great waiter but food absolutely appalling. Incredibly overpriced for bland pasta and over cooked fish. Most menu items were out of stock. Will not return and do not recommend.

Absolutely delicious! Original Italian/Sicilian food! Big portions, good price, friendly service. Good wine choice. No unhealthy mayo and deep fried stuff as inost SA seafood restaurants. Fully recommended!

So hubby and I decided to pop in at 6.20pm for a quick meal, coming straight from work (Wednesday night). The waitress asked if we had a booking; we said unfortunately not. Then she said it’s fully booked between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. We can come back in an hour. We both thought that is odd statement. So we went back to our favourite restaurant Scarpetta, just 2 blocks down the road. We were done with a quick dinner and later drove past Pesce, and wow..it was fairly empty (unless most of the diners were in the lav!).It’s a pity about this, as we supported the owners’ previous restaurant in Swellendam for several years, often driving all the way there for a meal and staying overnight. Any good restaurant would gave tried to seat us if we they know we would not be staying long. I mean, which restaurant wouldn’t want to more than one sitting a night?Oh well.

Went there last night for my 3 year anniversary. When we phoned to book a table we were told we had to bring our own wine. All 5 of the tapa tastings were cold dishes and all of them had the same kind of average bitter taste to them. The main dish of deep fried prawns and calamari was cooked well but without any sauce it was too dry to eat. We asked if we could get any kind of sauce and were told that the restaurant does not make or sell sauces. How can anyone be expected to eat that dry dish without any kind of sauce? We ended up leaving immediately and taking the mains with us so we could make our own dipping sauce at home and finish our meal at home instead. Extremely disappointing and will most definitely never go back.
