A cheerful homely ambiance for a casual week night chow down. Add a crackling fireplace, a splash of red wine and you will soon be in carb heaven. A variety of the tastiest thin based pizza around, also recommended is the Cajun Calamari, the mains is a fair portion, perfect with a salad. I have only dined there in winter, find it a great spot to just hang and mellow out.
This place makes my absolute best trinchado! Relaxed atmosphere, I’ve arrived here in the morning for coffee and stayed through lunch for cocktails (which are also really good).
Went to the restaurant for a farewell party. Thought I would give the penne pasta arabirata a try. It was very poor. Dry preboiled pasta. Sauce that seemed can poured. It was both cold and warm. Sugar also added to it to mask bitter taste from can. Definitely don’t order pasta dishes. Subsequently had the wings which were okay. The follow up chat with the owner was super so will revise the rating given the owners commitment to customer satisfaction.
Myself and my girlfriend went out for a quick dinner a few days ago and decided to try Woodstock Lounge as we had heard some good things about it.On first impressions, I liked the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, which was a welcome break after a long day at work. And whilst I do feel that the theme is slightly contradictary being that there are wooden deck tables, modern metal seating as well as couches, the restaurant is generally very warm and welcoming (I mean, it DOES have a fireplace). We sat on the couches and proceeded to order some drinks. I had a delicious craft ale beer. For food I ordered the lamb and feta burger whilst she had the basil pesto and feta pasta along with added cajun chicken strips. The pasta was really fantastic and the chicken really complimented the pasta very well.My burger was really well balanced in terms of the flavor profile however I did feel that perhaps they could’ve held back slightly with the sauce as it was slightly runny but nonetheless the meal was very tasty. All in all it was a nice night out at a very comfortable place to relax, have friendly service and a decent meal. Definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in the Woodstock area
There is nothing special about Woodstock Lounge, but it is a nice and cosy spot. The staff is always friendly, service is fine, reasonably prices. The burgers are probably the best thing on the menu from what I have seen. My brother always enjoys the burgers and pizza. Not many vegetarian or vegan options. I always have a salad, which they can improve on a bit. The beetroot & butternut salad is quite good. The jalapeno poppers are good! The cheese is amazing. Just a nice feel good spot with different types of seating, including couches.
