When greeted with a Buonasera upon arrival, you just know that you’re in for a real Italian treat. Had an early dinner over a weekend with a friend here. Loved the authenticity of the place, the warm waiters, the open kitchen and the amazing food! We ordered 2 starters – the tempura zucchini and a white anchovies special of the day (forgot to take pics). We ordered the zucchini side rather than a starter portion, because the starter portion was enormous! It was so yummy though! A definite must. For mains my friend had the prawn linguine and I opted for the veal on top of fresh pasta. Wow!! A serious absolute wow! Huge portions aside, we finished it all because it was the most amazing pasta dishes in all of Cape Town! Stuffed, but we couldn’t leave without trying the dessert. Can’t remember the name of the dessert my friend had, although lovely – I preferred mine more – dark choc tart with hazelnut gelato. Yum! Hands down a must do! There are very few Italian eateries in Cape Town that exude this kind of authenticity.
Went here twice for lunch. First time had the gorgonzola gnocchi and second time had an italian sausage pasta. Both tasted really great and were cooked perfectly. The service is very fast, friendly and top notch. Would definitely recommend you try it out.
