Not all that great when the waiter tells you that your red velvet cake has cream cheese in it. Being a cream cheese fanatic, all I tasted was sweetened pouring cream. Supervisor insisted it was. I was too tired to debate. Probably won’t be running back there any time soon.
I placed an order for a large chocolate mousse cake to be fetched on Saturday 7th April 2018 from the pathetic Claremont branch . I got there at 2pm and the manager tells me the truck has not arrived yet. I asked her to call the driver and find out how far. She said she cant get a hold of the driver. She called someone and they said the truck is only leaving kuilsriver at 14.20pm . I asked the manager if you knew the truck didn’t arrive why didn’t you have the decency to notify the customer the truck is late. That is why you ask for contact numbers when we order. During this time I was asked if i wanted other cakes, Which I was not interested in. I had to wait for an hour and a half . PATHETIC SERVICE. customer service sucks!
Just to note this review is for Limnos in Cavendish Square. I wasn’t going to do a review but after visiting twice in one month I thought they really need to know how bad they are. The manager stands behind the cashier the entire time, the waiters are non existent and were in the back almost the entire time – except when they came to give us our drinks and our cake. Both times I’ve waited incredibly long to get the bill and for them to come to the table with the card machine. Both times I’ve gotten up after waiting for so long and just went straight to the till. Am I supposed to do that? Are they supposed to come to me? I don’t know. If that IS the procedure then let the customer know. The first time I had a red cappuccino which was nice. The second time I had a regular cappuccino which was so horrendous I couldn’t drink it. They could see the cup was full when we left and didn’t ask. The manager even questioned my husband why he wrote 145 on the bill when our bill was 145 (ie implying why we didn’t give a tip) which we did IN CASH! It was underneath the receipt which was visible. Your managers and staff need training. Until then save your money and take it elsewhere.
