Visited the Vineyard Hotel for some afternoon tea with my sister. The main restaurant was fully booked for high tea so we opted to sit at The Splash Cafe. It was relaxing and peaceful however the service was super slow and a bit slack. My sister and I ordered a portion of scones which were fresh and delicious. They were accompanied with jam, cheese and cream. My cappuccino on the other hand was very average and so was the latte that my sister ordered. I would not recommend sitting at the Splash cafe.
Our best summer find most definitely has to be the Splash Cafe at the Vineyard hotel.  Nothing feels quite like summer than enjoying a meal or sipping on a cocktail outdoors in the beautiful sunshine. The Splash Cafe has been part of the Vineyard Hotel for years, so it’s not new, but they have spent time refining its offering and making it an attractive seasonal option when dining at this beautiful hotel in the heart of the Southern suburbs.  Their gardens are an oasis, with the backdrop of the mountains, there a few suburban venues that offer a more beautiful scenery.
Had a very pleasant early evening impromptu meal overlooking the pool, with Table Mountain backdrop. Our party consisted of 12, including 3 families and 6 kids. Burgers all round, but with different patty choices (beef, lamb, and chicken) as well as multiple toppings. Chips were perfect, tasty burgers, and everyone was happy.
A warm welcome and a tranquil environment.Relaxed and laid back. Service also seems to be.A varied lunch and dinner menu.Coffee is good. Its trump card is the setting as it lacks the edge. Prices are a little high.Although it doesn’t serve breakfast as the hotel does, it should offer light snacks such as toasted sandwiches, muffins and cakes.
